MEET BYRON

I didn't set out to be a "messaging guy."

I started as a coach in my early 20's. I loved the work but hated the marketing. It took me 7 years, many mentors, and an embarrassing number of failed strategies to realize I was meant to challenge most everything we've been taught growing a coaching business.

We're supposed to believe a strong message is about "saying it right." I'm here to say it's about embodying it.

Since 2018, I’ve been helping coaches stop outsourcing their voice and start building from truth. Not a script, formula, or "six figures framework." Just the message they were born to share.
 
I'm a father of two (Henry and Charlotte), husband to my awesome wife (Bethany), author, movie buff, basketball addict, and thrill-seeker who sold his house, moved into an RV, and traveled America full time for 1000 days.

At age 23, I launched my coaching journey and have worked with over 130 clients over these past 10 years. After struggling with the hustle and grind of growing my business, I realized the key wasn't just learning more surface-level strategies. It was embodying a primal message that deeply resonated with clients who were perfect for me.

That's the problem.

The Deer

Holding space without a face.

The Deer follows rules that work well in coaching containers:

 

The client is the expert. It's about their truth, not yours.

 

Offer reflection, not direction. Downplay your own perspective and what you know.

 

Hold space. Listen and ask questions 

 

Stay neutral. Avoid strong stances and bold opinions.

Self disclosure is a distraction. It's not about your story.

 

But in marketing, these rules erase who you are. Your truth, voice, and, unique perspective are marginalized. And your message gets buried in everyone else's story. 

The Hyena

Breaking necks and taking checks.

Unlike the Deer, the Hyena is comfortable with marketing:
 

Say what sells. Offer fast results, create urgency, and use tactics to manipulate buyers.

Engineer the "truth." Hype it up. Dumb it down. Exaggerate to convert. Defer to templates, trends, and what’s “proven to work.” 

 

Hide your soft side. Vulnerability makes you look weak. Avoid sharing your true emotions.

 

Build an empire. Turn your coaching into a product that can scale. Fast.

Weaponize tension. Poke the wound, twist the knife, then offer relief.

 

These rules can help you grow your business. At the expense of destroying authenticity, truth, and human connection.

The MOLE

Deep in the mold, afraid to be bold.

The Mole sticks to the corporate playbook:

 

Credentials over conviction. Lead with degrees and certifications. Prove you have the skills.

 

Default to data. Back everything with stats, reports, and third-party validation.

 

Wait for permission. Don’t put yourself out there. Wait for a role to open or a gatekeeper to validate you.

 

Professionalism over personality. Keep it polished, proper, and presentable. Not human.

Toe the company line. Use industry jargon, stay on-brand, and never challenge the status quo.

 

This playbook reduces you to a service provider. Interchangeable, replaceable, just like everyone else.

These worldviews conditioned you to sound safe, authoritative, and credible.

They're the very reason you're pulled between your fully authentic, soul-felt expression and the image you "need to project" in order to be taken seriously.

You didn't write these rules. It's time to reclaim your voice.
